The Wall Street Journal is running a short piece today about Angry Birds and it's success for Rovio.
From the article:
"Angry Birds" has generated about 2.35 million paid downloads since its launch in December, Chief Executive Officer Mikael Hed, Niklas's cousin, said in an interview. It costs 99 cents, of which Rovio gets 70% based on its revenue-sharing agreement with Apple, minus what it pays its publisher, ClickGamer.
I can do basic math, and that works out good for Rovio, developers for Angry Birds, who currently employ 17 staff... but from the article are looking to expand for new ports and updating Angry Birds to keep it at the top.

Its not all the time that we get to play the latest game available right now. There are times when we feel exhausted from work and all we want to do is have some fun. Our younger siblings would invite us to play with them and before we know it, all the exhaustion that we felt is gone. According to Mashable, the publisher responsible for the ultra-popular iPhone app “Angry Birds,” Chillingo, has been acquired by EA for $ twenty million in cash. Since its App Store debut in Dec 2009, “Angry Birds” has dominated mobile app sales rankings. Nearly 7 million copies have sold at 99 cents each, states developer Rovio. A $ 4.99 high-definition version was recently released for iPad, and an Android version was released in September.
