Asian developer, Lakoo, has released a new free update to its iOS MMORPG, Empire Online via iTunes. Empire Online features over a thousand quests, three hundred maps, five thousand items.

One of the most enhanced gameplay elements in version 1.2 is a more fluid navigation system. Players can now see their exact position on the world map, so they can easily find their way from empire to empire. In terms of visual improvement, players can now adjust text and image colors, making the dialogue and landscape stand out to be read more easily. Finally, as an aesthetic visual finishing touch, the game now sports a new loading screen. Other updates in version 1.2 include minor bug fixes and gameplay tweaks to make a more enjoyable, user-friendly MMOG experience.

Empire Online is free with an in-game item shop.

Zombie Cafe Dished Out on iTunes

Posted by Suzie Ford on Jan 28th, 2011 / 2 Comments

Capcom Entertainment has released Zombie Cafe to iTunes for free. The game is considered a social time management game where players take over a small cafe. They serve rather nasty meals to customers before infecting them and turning them into restaurant minions.

In the world of Zombie Café, the food service industry is a life and death business. In addition to managing a menu, preparing up to 50 recipes and decorating their café with more than 100 items, players will have to deal with the ramifications of having a wait staff comprised of undead zombies. Sure the cost of labor is low, but having a fussy zombie try and eat a customer will sink a player’s star rating. On the plus side, if the competition gets too fierce players can always direct their zombie workers to attack a neighboring café and steal their secret recipes.

Zombie Café is free to download and play, but players can expedite the growth of their café by purchasing toxin as downloadable content. Additional content and enhancements for the title are already in development

Zombie Cafe is FREE on iTunes.

Legendary Wars Jumps to iTunes

Posted by Suzie Ford on Jan 28th, 2011 / 2 Comments

Liv Games has released its castle defense, RTS and RPG hybrid, Legendary Wars, to iTunes. The game takes, according to developers, the best elements of the three game types mentioned above and combines them into an intriguing game play experience. The game features five game zones with players working to discover the mystery of the Sunstones.

Throughout over 50 stages, the game introduces an assortment of playable characters, from noble Elven Archers to brash Magical Unicorns. Each unit has upgradable stats, legendary armor to obtain, and unique combat abilities. Players pit these champions against hordes of Netherworld creatures and assorted bosses that range from massive frost-breathing dragons, to rabies-infected werewolves.

Players mine resources and recruit units to send into the fray along 3 lanes of battle. Units can be independently directed to change lanes, advance, retreat, stand guard, or use combat abilities to overwhelm the enemy. Gems collected in battle can then be used to fortify defenses, bolster resource production, and upgrade units.

Legendary Wars is $2.99 on iTunes.
